Word of the Year — 16 Comments

  1. Love this, Karen. I will focus on God and not on the world around me this year. Hard to do for me, but I have to continue to choose it each day. Thank you.

  2. Hi Karen, My goal for 2021 is to finish one nonfiction and finish at least half of my fiction WIP by 2022. My nonfiction’s first draft is complete and I have 12 scenes complete on my fiction WIP. Once I finish my non fiction and make my half way goal on my fiction project, I’ll have one nonfiction to go, which there are six chapters completed. I also write a weekly blog. Do you still critique and edit Manuscripts? God bless you Karen and Happy New Year. (Sure glad 2020 is behind us. If it wasn’t for my faith and close relationship with God, I don’t know what I’d do. I don’t even want to think about it. (So I won’t. LOL) GB and keep writing Karen.

    • Thanks Jim. It is so good to hear from you and about your fiction and nonfiction WIPs. Great goals. If you are interested in talking about editing, let me know by email when you’re ready.

  3. Hi Karen, I forgot to tell you that I’m starting my sixth year in a row of reading the Bible cover to cover. (Sure wish I could remember it all. LOL)

  4. Karen, I love this and the first thing I thought of is the scripture from Hebrews 11:1: “Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. it just ‘jumped out at me’and lucky me Tanya was close to me and she looked it up for me. It sure does take a lot of faith to put our trust in God, but we need to ‘practice’ having faith each day.
Blessings to you with love, Margaret

  5. “Faith” is exactly what my first blog post for 2021 was about Karen. Excited that is your focus!

My theme for this year is Grace…
Living in Grace and Loving others with Grace.

May we all grow in our faith & grace this year.

    Smiles, BRC

  6. Karen…Faith, Hope, Love..the trinity.
Gods gift to us. Nothing us more powerful. I too will focus on faith followed very closely by hope and love.

  7. Thank you again Karen for sharing your plans for the new year. You help me a great deal. I am 91 and a retired priest in the Anglican church in NZ so stepping into a new year has its moments, but I do so praising my Lord for His continual presence with me, and all the help He gives me.Thank you again for your messages of love. May we all, in the message of Ps 27:8 ” My heart heard you say, ‘ come and talk with me'”ask the Lord to be our companion this year…… Colin
