Time for New Duds!
I looked through my closet a few weeks ago and what did I see? Too many old clothes–pants, skirts, dresses and jackets that simply don’t work anymore. Time for some new duds for sure. So I packed up a few bags and hauled them off to Good Will.
Then I went shopping at my favorite online stores. I picked up a summer sweatshirt, a pretty yellow sweater and two beach dresses. I felt so much better.
During the Covid sheltering I got used to wearing whatever I laid hands on, whether I liked it or not. No one saw me since I stayed home or in my neighborhood day after day for over a year. I figured why bother. Make do with what I have.
Before long, however, I started feeling down, less than others, poor in spirit and dowdy in appearance. So I challenged myself to turn a new leaf. Dress attractively every day. Add earrings and take care of my hair, even if I’m the only one who sees me–in the mirror. 😉 I’m worth it. And so are you.

Ha. Yes, what an uplifting thing for you to do! A friend in business used to say, “Look good, do good.” although, I think it might be, “look great, do great!”

I was fortunate throughout this past year to have had both my nail and hair salons keep my hair colored and trimmed and my nails manicured – by me “masking up,” their rigorous sanitizing and being served outside. Like you, though, my clothes needed some serious upgrading. The good news is that lots of stores are having sales. New duds – and on sale too!! What could be better?!!!

Good for you! It does make us feel good to get something new to wear. Since I don’t go anywhere (smile) I am guilty of wearing the same thing over and over, but now that most of our friends have received their vaccine’s I may have Tanya, my daughter, select some new things for me and we are beginning to have friends visit. Oh Happy Day!

How interesting…I have had a large trash bag sitting in the closet adding to it every so often. It has been delivered to Goodwill. Will start another one soon. My duds were getting a little tired. Getting my nails and feet done was a challenge. My hair is now a silver grey. I rather like it.

I just got to move my clothes into my new closet and remodeled bedroom. It has been fun trying out new outfits and seeing everything organized and easy to get to.
