The Stately Palm — 12 Comments

  1. Living in Florida I can certainly relate to this one! I always loved to sit on the balcony at the vacation condo on Ft. Myers Beach and watch the palm tree fronds blow from one side of the tree to the other and then snap right back.> I can relate to your second paragraph also as I have gone through everything you mentioned and always felt so thankful that God would help me ‘bounce back’. God has blessed me far more than I could ever imagine and I cannot thank Him enough. AND I thank you for this wonderful blog and reminding me to read again Psalm 92:12.
love to you and a blessed Easter! Margaret

  2. This devotion is so powerful Karen. Thank you so much for all of your heart felt writings.Your writing reminds me of a painting I did of a palm tree by the ocean. There was a fierce storm and the palm tree was rooted and grounded in God’s power, strength and love. This is the scripture verse that goes with this painting: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name. You are Mine. When you pass through the water I will be with you;And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned., Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God. The Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Isaiah 43:2-3

  3. Thank for this special Easter greeting. How powerful and wonderful our living God is. Yet He is so tender and merciful. We have all walked a crooked road of trials and errors. Yet He is there to love us unconditionally.
I am most grateful and humbled…because He lives I can face tomorrow.
Let us not forget the miracle of Easter.
Many Blessings and Hugs to you, Karen
    Joan

  4. Trust you’ve had a blessed Easter celebration today Karen. Your comments about the palms are lovely. I’ve always felt that way about tulips too – strong, yet flexible and delicate–and beautiful. Thanks for the great reminder that we too can be like that with God’s power in us.

    • Thank you, Carol, for your kind comment. It’s funny you mentioned tulips too. Bruce always buys Erin tulips for her birthday and Easter. Yesterday the vase was filled with yellow beauties.
