Takin’ It Easy
I woke up today and decided to take it easy–to turn my back on chores and to do’s. The sun is shining, There’s a gentle breeze wafting through the trees. And the birds are tweeting. So I’m going to join in.
Just thinking about the day ahead I already feel happy and peaceful and settled. A simple decision to take it easy has freed me to rest in God’s creation and see what happens. No figuring things out. No wrestling in my spirit. No judging myself or others. No controlling my thoughts and actions. Just for today, for this moment, I will BE.
Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
Such a good idea. Alone time away from things is the best medicine. I go walking alone and enjoy it. Great time to talk with the Lord and appreciate all He has created.
God Bless You !!
What a lovely routine, Etta Mae. I, too, often walk alone and it’s good ‘medicine’ for my spirit.
I’m going to do that too! Thank you Mom.
Love hearing that, Julie. You deserve it.
My counselor friend calls these ND days— no deadline—and highly recommends them on a frequent basis. I feel more restful just reading about it. Blessings my balanced friend.
Thanks for your kind words, Judi. Good to hear from you.
Posting a silent “thumbs up.” 👍
Trying not to disturb your “just being” day.
Tip noted. 😉✅

I have no choice as to just “be”. I had hip surgery on Tuesday May 24th. Actually things that need to be done
Will just have to WAIT. When I get home I will enjoy my front and back patio. It’s all good so to say. I will spend time viewing mother nature…God’s creation. Thank you Karen
Something to say about stopping and smelling the roses.
Heal well, Joan, and enjoy your patios while you do so.
