Some Wisdom for the Week
Do you ever find yourself longing for a bit of wisdom, a few choice words to set you right, to calm your pounding heart, to settle you down during a crisis or a time of confusion?
I sure do. At such times I comb the Bible, or the writing of a favorite author or spiritual mentor.
Here are a few that spoke to me over the weekend:
“Your only job is to become who you already are.” Thomas Merton
“With each breath God chooses me again and again and again.” (Heard at Conspire Conference ’21)
“We are woven together in a garment of humanity.” (Heard at Conspire Conference ’21)
“To love another person is to see the face of God.” Victor Hugo
“The ego gets what it wants with words. The soul finds what it needs in silence.” Richard Rohr
And one of the best of all:
“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7
Fabulous and perfect for me tiday dear friend. Thank you. We are all certainly in this together gifted with faith and a loving heart ❤️
Thanks, Kathleen.

Thanks, Glenda.
Dr. Seuss says: “Sometimes we do not realize the importance of a moment until it becomes a memory”. I have found this to be SO TRUE ! I also think I have sent this to you before~smile.
Thanks, Karen for great thoughts! Love to you, Margaret
I love that quote from Dr. Seuss. Thanks for sharing it.
Thank You Karen…oh so true. In certain situations…I learning to be quiet. Guess that’s my brand of wisdom.
Not easy!!!
I agree. Silence can also be a kind of wisdom.
“…The soul finds what it needs in silence.” Richard Rohr
This thought brought my soul solace as I took a deep breath, a quiet minute and gave it thought. Thanks Karen.
