A Time to Rest and Relax
I hope you have a happy and relaxing Labor Day weekend.
I plan to do the same so I will keep this short!
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil.4:6-7)
Beautiful scripture, Karen and I thank you for printing it! I have spent most of the day working on the book I am writing and I have decided that what I read the other day in my devotional book is true: “writing a book is the hardest thing I have ever done” ! smile! All the ‘proof reading, making sure you are consistent in using present or past tense~~DUH!! YOU, my Dear, are amazing! I am afraid I did not rest too much today but thankful for my time, memory and the love of friends and family! Most of all I am glad I have a Father in Heaven who will give me rest anytime I am willing to accept it!
Love to you. Margaret
Thank you, Margaret, for posting even on a holiday! I appreciate what you shared. I took a walk, a nap, and then did a few chores. Overall, I had a lovely day. After a full weekend with my family I was ready to rest! 🙂
We had a restful weekend watching a band at the Beach & Boardwalk, swimming and a little walking. Oh yeah, and sleeping in. ..
Good for you and your family, Rebecca. We did something similar. The beach was so beautiful.
Thanks! Needed this today. Normally I rest well on Sunday, but this Labor Day weekend, we labored. I’m so glad you were able to enjoy a restful day!
I hope you can rest a bit this week since you ‘labored’ on Labor Day!
I have often quoted that scripture, with the emphasis on the last part. So often we “have not because we ask not”. Peace only comes when we trust Him with all our needs.
It is a great reminder to all of us who follow your writings. Thanks Karen.
Thank you, Etta Mae. I thought of you today when walking through MH with Carla Talbott. She pointed out your house. Let’s meet for lunch soon.
