In Anticipation
Years ago my husband Charles and I decided to write down a daily blessing and put it in a basket and then empty it from time to time and enjoy rereading each one and giving thanks all over again. My, we were blessed–everything from ย selling our condo when we were ready–to selling my next book or to my husband getting a job in just the right place for his talent.
Over the year, we realized all of these dreams and they compelled us to continue filling and refilling our basket of blessings.

Dear Karen,
I certainly count our longstanding friendship – as one of my greatest blessings! Love and hugs and Merry Christmas! ๐๐ ๐
Same here, dear friend. We’ve had many years of deep friendship.
If we had one, your name would also be in my blessing basket, Karen! But perhaps we should start one! Thank you for the inspiration and have a blessed Christmas with your community and family.
Thank you, Kathleen. Your words are a blessing, as you are.
Dear Karen,
Thank you so much for your writing about the beautiful experiences you had with Charles when looking through your basket of blessings. The quote is very beautiful. I will always be grateful for the powerful impact that you played in my writing. I’ve continued writing in my gratitude journals and these will be passed on to future generations. Merry Christmas dear Karen. I love you.
And I love you, Sandy. Our friendship is so special to me. Keep writing!
Karen, I remember when you shared this with our Women’s Bible study, and I have practiced this on and off over the years. A great reminder to write it down and count up those blessings. YOU are one of those blessing to me! Merry Christmas!
Thanks for sharing that memory, Patti. I still have my basket!
I love this one Mom. And I love you. ๐ -Jimmy
Thanks, Jimmy. I love you so much too. โค๏ธ
