Everything’s Coming Up Roses!
Roses are red
Violets are blue;
This rosy red bush
Is for me (Karen) and for you (Charles).
White rose
Climb so high
Touch the heavens
And to Mom and Dad say, “Hi!”
Peaches and cream
To me you seem . . .
A tree of love
From God above.
“The world is a rose, smell it and pass it to your friends.”
Persian Proverb
Awww. This is such a reminder of Charles. He loved that garden. He is there reminding you of the love you shared.
love, Heidi
Thanks, Heidi.
This is such a lovely remembrance of Charles and the garden (and life in Watsonville) you created together. On this Memorial Day, I also salute Charles’ service to our country.
Thanks so much, Glenda. Also, did you see my blog post with a photo of you and Sarah and me? Titled “Pure Gold” posted on May 22?
SO Lovely. I remember your beautiful yard.
thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Jay. I know you and Linda love flowers too.
WOW, oh WOW !!! I have never seen such beautiful rose bushes! I think I remember that Charles planted them for you. At least I know he loved the flowers and took care of them! What a wonderful gift for you and a gift for me that you have shared their beauty with all of “us”! Thank you , Karen. Bury your face in the blossoms and breathe deeply and think of God’s gift of Roses and that we can see them and enjoy their fragrance! May your Spring be filled with happy surprises! Love, Margaret
Thanks, Margaret. Yes, Charles planted these roses and tended them with loving care.

They are truely exquisite!
Love you Karen
Always, Janet
Thank you, Janet. I love you too and miss our ‘coffee times.’ I’ll be visiting family for two weeks in June but when I return let’s make a date.
Sounds good to me! Let me know after
you get home after you have a chance to
regroup. We have a lot to catch up on!!
I will pray for a safe trip and a great time with your family.

Karen, I love how you stop to smell the roses. That has been a bouquet of motivation and inspiration to me since the day I was blessed with you as my writing mentor.
Your garden is as beautiful as your sweet spirit. Thank you for sharing both.
Smiles, BRC
What a lovely message, Beth. Thanks for your ongoing support. Your words inspire me to keep going.
Beautiful!
Thanks, Helen. Looking forward to seeing you and Robert soon.
