Doin’ What Comes Naturally
In the California wilds on a sunny autumn day.
Whenever I felt worried or anxious I headed for the wilds–just the place for a peaceful walk, a restful time in nature and a spot on a rock to rest my bones.
There is nothing like a quiet spell–just me and trees and plants and rocks and birds sharing Mother Nature’s bounty for a couple of hours. It never disappoints because it’s always new in one way or another.
Now that I’m living in Ohio I’ve experienced my first snow in years! Another aspect of nature. It’s great! Cold for sure but a real blessing in a new way.
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived….”
“Wildness is the preservation of the World.”
Henry David Thoreau
A walk in God’s creation certainly offers a respite from the hectic life we all seem to be experiencing lately. No snow in San Diego but lots of rain lately- and still fun to put on my boots and grab an umbrella- just like I did when I was young!
We love sharing our natural world with you! I love you Mom.
Luv how nature hugs us Karen. May you feel that hug today.
Smiles, BRC
Spending time with God’s creation is always so refreshing. His handiwork takes away the stress of everyday life.
Bless you Karen for that uplifting message.
