Contentment Is More Than a Word — 12 Comments

  1. Love it, Karen. Sometimes it’s hard to love where you are—especially separated by miles from loved ones. But that is how it is now …taking as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it, ha ha. I am right where God wants me. love, Heidi

  2. Love this post! I always think of the saying “Grow where you are planted” and you certainly are doing that! I know we are separated by many miles- but I’m so grateful we can call, email or text each other! Technology has really given us the gift of connection.

  3. Love your faithfulness!
We have moved so many times and the las time to somewhere I truly did Not want to go but I am grateful to have been blessed with a nice home a grandchild we are raising and a great husband. Most of the family is far away but not all.

I am often discontented because my selfish desire was to remain elsewhere but I am striving to keep faith that Gods wisdom placed me where I need to be.

Thank you for reminding all of us.

  4. I can certainly relate. I am now a widow living in our last home together in New Mexico. Our daughters are in California and the Czech Republuc (she and her husband are missionaries there for the last 17 years). The rest of my family is in the Norrtheastern states and Eastern Canada. I am content in my home and community and communicate with my daughters and other family members via phone, text, and Whatsapp video calls. Technology certainly helps so much.
