Bye, bye to one of my teeth. — 12 Comments

  1. My prayers and thoughts are with you as you under go the oral surgery, which I am very well aquainted with. Your heart of gratitude and your determination to look at the bright side inspires me. As we slow down it’s the little things and special relationships that light up our lives in ways that they didn’t when we were much younger. God bless you and your family Karen. Love you.

  2. Karen: This is a private email back to you only, I hope (and think): I am beginning to look at senior living facilities at the ripe age of 77. Do you happen to have an opinion about whether that is about the right time to make a move or even just to do some searches? You’ve always been such a friend and role model to me, my fellow writer / book author…!

  3. Karen, I’m praying that your surgery goes well and you heal quickly.

On a less serious note, I’m hoping the tooth fairy will be gracious to you considering the longevity of your tooth and how well it has served you.
I mean with inflation, and the fact that it’s an adult tooth, I’m thinking it should be worth at least eighty or more bucks give or take.

It sure wouldn’t hurt to put it under your pillow and see what happens.(Giggle) Let me know how that goes when you feel up to it.

  4. Dearest Karen- praying all goes well with your dental work tomorrow. I’m looking forward to catching up when you have recovered.
    Love, hugs and blessings!

  5. As usual, we are on the same page! Praying for your oral surgery today. I had the same thing done two weeks ago. Still waiting on a bridge, some crowns, and removal of some mercury fillings. I have really learned to like soup!

I love your attitude so much, Karen! Hugs from Texas!

    • Thanks, Kristi. I came through the surgery just fine. Now for the two-month healing process before the implant and crown. Interesting that we’re sharing the process at the same time. Blessings to both of us.

  6. Karen, my husband and I purchased two of your books through Guideposts and have been delighted reading a little every day as part of our devotional time. I love your positive outlook and sense of humor. Getting “older” isn’t fun, but you have an inspirational outlook to follow. So, we signed up for your blog. Thank you for continuing to share the Lord’s goodness even in your present situation which we will likely follow at some time. The Lord be with you during your oral surgery. I like the idea of putting it under your pillow for the tooth fairy! I wish I had thought of that with mine! It’s definitely worth at least $80! 🤣 Blessings Karen 🙏
