Autumn
by Emily Dickinson
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry’s cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I’ll put a trinket on

I was so inspired by Emily’s poem written for this beautiful time of year I decided to purchase a couple of fall sweaters and some cozy wool socks.
We played a game of corn hole outside today and we could tell by the wind that winter is on its way. The leaves are turning and the summer flowers are dropping their petals.
Praise God from whom all the blessings of life flow throughout the year.
Jeremiah 5:24 (ESV): “They do not say in their hearts, ‘Let us fear the Lord our God, who gives the rain in its season, the autumn rain and the spring rain, and keeps for us the weeks appointed for the harvest.”
