April Showers Bring May Flowers
Despite the quarantine for humans, creatures in the wild are moving on with their lives….blooming where planted and giving hope to all who stop to enjoy them.
“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.” Lady Bird Johnson
“Love is like a beautiful flower which I may not touch, but whose fragrance makes the garden a place of delight just the same.” – Helen Keller
“Flowers are like friends; They bring color to your world.” – Unknown
“Earth laughs in flowers.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these” (Luke 12:27.
I am just a very old cattle rancher but I loved your flowers, now if I could just stop my cows fron walking all over them.
Thanks, Stan. Nice to hear from you.
Karen, what can I say ?? BEAUTIFUL! Love all the colors. What a delight to get to walk among the flowers. I thank God everyday that I can see HIS beauty that He gives to me every morning as I look out the sliding glass doors to the orchid plant by the pool. It is so lovely and started blooming in March, had 20 white blooms with a large ‘drop of red’ in the middle. I call it my Easter Orchid even though I do not know if that is the name of the plant. It blooms at Easter time and there were 20 huge blooms. I think of the drops of blood Jesus shed for me on the cross, so He could forgive me for my sins and make me as white as snow. Of course I see other beautiful plants and trees but the orchid is special.
Thank you for sharing with us.
Love and blessings to you as always. Margaret
What a lovely experience, Margaret. It’s inspiring that you get to view this beautiful orchid from your window–a special gift from the Lord.
Yes so true Karen! I think that every time I look at nature right now. It is the only constant. And looking at my dog —he’s happy and doesn’t have a clue Nothing’s changed for him. Life goes on. You are a blessing reminding us of the beauty in creation that surrounds us is always there to lift us! God smiles at us through the flowers.
Thank you, Heidi. I know you love nature too and have a yard filled with lovely blossoms. God bless your sweet dog that keeps you centered during this uncertain time.
Karen Thank you so much for the things you send my way. As we get older I think we appreciate nature more than in our younger years. The flowers are beautiful perfect for Mother’s Day.
Joynelle, how dear of you to comment. Thanks for reading my blog and for appreciating my thoughts and writings.
Beautiful pictures, thoughts, scripture. Thank you Karen!
You’re welcome, Carol. I enjoyed assembling them.
You must go up to Quail Hollow Ranch before the lupines are gone. It
is safe and you can park and walk there. I have done it several times during this time of sheltering. You will love it.
I love your pictures. Flowers are God”s smile. Thanks Karen
Thanks for the suggestion, Etta Mae. I will take you up on that.
