Ambassador Karen
I was recently inducted into the Welcome Committee at
Provision Living, my new home. It’s a simple job–just welcome new residents.
So far I have made many new friends. We have meals together and we participate in games and walking and flower arranging for the dinner tables. As I’ve said before, I’m enjoying my life here and the many blessings I never expected.
So many lovely things to do in Cincinnati. Ballet, opera, stage plays, Shakespeare in the park and the symphony.
Ecclesiastes 5:19-20 New Living Translation (NLT)
To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God. God keeps such people so busy enjoying life that they take no time to brood over the past.
That sounds like a great job for you, Karen! I’m glad you have another way to share your many gifts!
Thank you, Barb. I appreciate your encouraging words.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the bright side of aging.
What a beautiful comment, Janet. I hope you are doing well.
It seems like you are truly blooming where you are planted! That also sounds like a great way to use your talents!
Melody I love hearing from you. Thanks for encouraging me.
Amen!!!! I am so happy for you Karen. You truly inspire me. This is so wonderful how you are blooming and making so many friends.

Being part of the Welcoming Committee- is so perfect for you! I love reading about all the places you have found to serve your new community. You’ve always had the ability to light up a room with your love and joy. Kept it up! It’s contagious!

And you set a shining example
Sushila, I love your caring words. Thank you.
Dear Karen, Perhaps I have finally found out how to respond to your mail!
I am so happy YOU are happy and are doing things that are just right for you.
I love the old song:”People, people who need people, are the luckist people in the world”! You are lucky and those who now know you are lucky just like me: I am so lucky I have known you for many many years and I love you dearly and keep you in my heart and prayers. Keep up the good work and enjoy who you are! I had my 96th birthday last week and my daughter and son-in-law invited three of my best friends to join us for a delicious meal and cake and ice cream. Love to you, Margaret
Margaret, what a lovely reply. So glad you had a beautiful 96th birthday celebration. We had a wonderful party here yesterday honoring one of our couples 75th wedding anniversary.
What a wonderful opportunity to share all of your God given talents. You will be able to meet the newcomers first and what a delight for them.
I am so pleased to hear you are adjusting so well.
Blessings & Hugs
