Grandparents Day
My son-in-law’s parents. Jay left us this year but Linda is still with us. I so enjoyed our visits with them, especially when we went dancing. So many good memories.
Last night our dining room was filled with grandparents and grandchildren. It was such a joy to see the intergenerations laughing and talking and smiling. I recall when my husband was still alive and we enjoyed our time with our grandchildren.
The kida are all adults now and some have families of their own.
I feel so blessed to enjoy yet another generation.
“Grandchildren are the crown of the aged.” (Proverbs 17:6)
Hi Karen,
What a beautiful picture of you and Charles. I can just imagine how the room was buzzing with the grandchildren enjoying their grandparents. How wonderful that you live in a place that honors trandparents and their grandchildren. It is a joy for me to have time with my grandchildren. There are seven ages from almost two 20. Thank you for your tender writing.
Love you.
Sandy
Thank you, Sandy. I know that we share a delight in our grandchildren. It’s such a fun part of our friendship.
I am in that wonderful stage of being a Grandma myself these days! How blessed I am! How blessed you are to live where they honor generations of family! Happy Tuesday to you Karen!
Thanks Patty. Nothing like it. Now I’m enjoying my ‘greats’ as well.

I DO HAVE FIVE GRANDCHILDREN,AND FIVE ‘GREATS BUT THEY LIVE SO FAR AWAY WE I DO NOT SEE THEM OFTEN. HOWEVER AM SO HAPPY WITH THEM.

My responsibility is to love them and pray for them. That gives me great joy.

I agree. Let’s pray for them daily and love them with all our hearts.
