Ah Sweet Memories!
Today I opened a box of memorabilia my daughter Erin sent from California after she and her family cleared out the remaining items in my home.
What fun it was to see old photos from the 1930s and 40s when I was baby, toddler, and young girl. Now I am 85. Could all this have taken place almost a century ago? Indeed it could.
I am nothing but grateful and I am conscious of being thankful for my life each day that I wake up.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow. I’m especially thankful that I’m living long enough to see my great grandchildren start moving through these seasons of their lives.

Amazing when you think how many decades we have lived .
When I was 50 years old in 1980 , 1900 seemed like a very long time ago. Today someone who is 50 thinks of 1973 in the same way !!

Greetings Karen…I have quite a few boxes to go through after my move to the Central Valley. All pictures of family going back a few generations plus the present generation. Can’t seem to get to it. There are a lot of happy times and memories in those boxes.

Your writing touched my heart. How sweet it must have been to see photos of yourself as a baby, toddler and growing up. What a blessing to hear how you are so thankful for every day. The scripture is very beautiful too.I am so grateful that I went through thousands of photographs when you were editing my memoir. I will always treasure the time we spent together on it.
