Ah! Sweet Memories
While resting and recovering from my stroke I decided to take a look at some of my journals over the last twenty years while camping and hiking with friends in the Sierra Mountains. Here’s one from August, 1998.
“I have drunk from’s God’s streams, rested on his rocks, tramped and tripped over his boulders, shaded myself under his trees, and nestled in his fields of wild flowers.
I have hiked his trails and climbed his hills, surveyed his lakes and and canyons and meadows from peaks and ridges. I came an empty vessel. I return filled and satisfied, fat on friendship, lead oneness, and balanced body, mind, and spirit
How gracious you are oh God, maker and creator of all things.
Beautiful memories! I am thankful that you are recovering well.
Thank you, Paula.
Praying for a speedy and complete recovery. God’s creation is refreshing and reminds us of his goodness, majesty, and love for us. Beautiful.
Thank, Laura. Doctor is stabilizing my medications.
Thank you Karen! You paint such pretty picture with words. Brighten the day.

Dear Karen, I’m so sorry you have had a “set back”, but glad you are recovering. As usual, a beautiful post from a beautiful lady, and you have made my life more beautiful. You have my gratitude, my respect, and my wishes for a full recovery. I believe that all things creative are also healing.
I agree. Creativity is a great healer.

What lovely words. Many thanks.
Reading your memories reminds me of wonderful memories I have had in my life and mostly with herb, my second husband since he was retired. So many beautiful places in our country. We were able to do a lot of traveling and saw many beautiful places that God made for us to enjoy. Thank you so much for sharing your travels with us.
I hope you are improving each day from your stroke! You remain in our prayers. We will soon enjoy the fall colors! God is so good to us and prov ides so much beauty for us to see. I thank Him each that I still have eyes to enjoy His beauty. Blessings for a quick recovery. Love you, Margaret
Many thanks, Margaret. I’m on the mend.
May the beauty of what you have seen and experienced encourage your renewed health so that you can get out again soon to see and experience new wonders of creation to add to your journal collection. Luv you Karen!
