…And breathe
Pray and breathe.
Rest and breathe.
Sleep and breathe.
Speak and breathe.
Stop and breathe.
Pause and breathe.
Why is this important? Because it prompts gratitude. As we draw a breath we’re reminded to be thankful for the gift of life.
Come to me all of you who are tired from the heavy burden you have been forced to carry. I will give you rest. Accept my teaching. Learn from me. I am gentle and humble in spirit. And you will be able to get some rest. Yes, the teaching that I ask you to accept is easy. The load I give you to carry is light. – Jesus
The gift of life is indeed precious!
Indeed. Thanks, Glenda.
Yes stop and breath. An attitude of gratitude …stop breath and smell the roses. Life is precious and a gift.
Than you Karen.
Thank you, Joan. I am trying to focus on breathing and giving thanks.
Amen!! thank you Karen for the powerful reminder to stop, breathe, smell the roses and be grateful. Your words bring peace, comfort and reminds me of God’s beauty. Living in gratitude and slowing down makes me so much happier.
Thanks, Sandy. Breathing and giving thanks bring peace and love. I’m trying to keep this in mind each day.
Thanks, Karen. It is a real blessing to be able to breathe! It is very frightening to not be able to ‘get your breath and breathe’. I imagine all of us remember having a cold and having a “stopped up nose”, When I was little I remember my mother putting vicks vapor rub, on my chest and cover it with a flanel cloth which helped me breath. I am thankful I can breathe and need to Thank God I can! Love to you, Margaret
I love your personal story, Margaret. Our moms sure knew how to care for us.
Just stopped to deep breathe…
4 count – inhaled slowly through nose
4 count – held breath
4 count – exhaled slowly through mouth
4 count – held breath
repeated 5x.
That felt great! Thanks for reminding me to breath and be grateful for breathe Karen. Hope you are feeling refreshed too.
Smiles, BRC
