Gettin’ Older Gettin’ Better
I’m reading a devotional this year that focuses on how to recover from habits and behaviors we want to change or give up. Each page is an excellent reminder of the importance of continuing to move forward as we get older.
Here are some of my favorites:
Bathe in God’s faithfulness.
Take a regular inventory of our misdeeds.
Admit the truth of our behavior.
Forgive others.
Keep our promises.
Pray persistently.
Love with a full heart.
Live with gratitude.
Restore relationships.
Surrender our will to God.
With each of these we can ask God for help and he will deliver. That’s the best part. We are never on our own.
For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you.
Isaiah 41:13
Seems like a good devotional to get. Who is the author?
I’m actually gathering bits and pieces from several of my devos over the years. One I love is titled “God’s Best For My Life” by Lloyd John Ogilvie. I’ve paraphrased some of his advice.
This is AWESOME ! I need to remember all of these~each one so important!
Thank you, my Dear! Love you. Margart
You’re welcome.
