Let It Rain — 14 Comments

  1. Delightful sharing today. Thank you Karen. Yes, let it rain!!!! Much needed and appreciated. Beautiful how you were able to see the trials and tribulations in life as showers of rain! Loved it. Love you and am SO grateful for your weekly written insights you bestow on us ❤️🙏🏻❤️. Keep them coming please.

  2. You quoted my favorite poet. A wise man who learned in adversity to see the brighter side. I love his poem
“I heard the bells on Christmas day
    There old familiar carols play”
I am sure you know that one.
It is a good reminder of for us to remember the last part of that poem.
“God is not dead nor doth He sleep” .

You are always an encouragement , Karen. Love to you from me. 🙂

  3. Thanks for your timely words, Karen! Like you, I know that God turns the dark, cloudy, rain-filled days into sun-filled days. His timing is always perfect, too!

  4. Love it, Karen. I have had several raindrops on my head with my best friend Sue.We would go to the swimming pool at Bob Noble Park and the the skating rink and it seemed we were always walking home “in the rain”. Her mother was a doll but would fuss and fuss as us because we would never wait until the rain stopped before coming home. We love that kind of rain but I have had some of the unpleasant kinds also and just had to finally let go and let God handle it. He always did – if I would let HIM .
Blessings to you, my friend. Margaret

  5. Thanks, Margaret. When you mentioned Noble Park it brought back memories of visits there with Charles. Did you know that when he was in sixth grade (still wearing short pants) he directed the high school orchestra at that park? Imagine that. 😉

  6. No, Karen, I cannot imagine Charles directing the high school orchestra and also wearing short pants~smile! Of course I did not meet him until we moved to Paducah in November when I was a senior in High School and I think Charles was a Junior. He and I were such good friends and I am thankful for the memories and for the fact I met YOU! Love and blessings Margaret

    • Thanks, Margaret. I imagine it’s fun for you to pull up so many awesome memories from people and events in your earlier life. I’m glad to know Charles is among them.

  7. Rain rain go away…come again another day. Remember that one? I love the rain as we don’t get that much in California. But there are rainy days…life’s problems that can be overwhelming. The good Lord is always by our side. We are never left alone. He is the sunshine that guides us through the muddy waters.
Thank you, Karen for that timely massage.
