Connection, Connection, Connection
There’s a saying in real estate that makes sense when you’re considering buying a piece of property. “Location, location, location.” Pick a place that will serve you well and will be a building or home you can count on to hold its value.
Good point!
But when it comes to relationships, I like this slogan: “Connection, connection, connection.”
I’ve been thinking about that a lot these days while sheltering in place, wearing a mask in public, and wondering how long all this uncertainty will last–as if there is ever certainty. The truth is we don’t know what’s coming at any moment, pandemic or not. We hear people talk about the ‘new normal.’ What is that, anyway?
While at the dental office a couple of weeks ago, my dentist asked me how I’m feeling during this weird time.
“I’m at peace,” I said.
“You are?” He was obviously surprised at my response.
We talked a bit more (between his work on my chipped tooth) about the state of things. I knew why I was at peace. It’s because all I have at any time is my connection with God, (Higher Power, Source of Love). I can’t count on people, places, things, or myself.
Only God can hold us, sustain us, direct us–only God.
So the full answer to the question, “How are you feeling?” is “I’m at peace, trusting my God in all ways and in all things.”
May the same be true for you.
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way.
2 Thes. 3:16
Peaceful thoughts Karen. Thank you.
Smiles, BRC
And to you, Beth.
Hee ! Hee! Today I was at the dentist ‘s office and I was at peace
as well…praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
Thanks, Chloe. What fun to know we were at the dentist around the same time.
Good answer~~so am I, and I thank God for HIS peace that “passeth all understanding”. Isaiah 26:3
Love and blessings to you. Margaret
P.S. my daughter, son-in-law and I celebrated my 31st birthday for the third time yesterday and it was great!
Happy, happy birthday, dear Margaret.
Peace! Peace! Peace! A really good chant!
Happy big B’day to you dear Margaret. I do enjoy your input each week! Happy you are being so lovingly cared for 🙏😘❤️
Thanks for your good words and wishes, Kathleen, for Margaret.
That has been my answer all through this time of uncertainty . Trust = Peace ! How simple to say , and it is true. l am back at home an praising God for his protection here in Mount Hermon . Thank again Karen for spreading the Good News.
So happy Mount Hermon is safe and you are once more home and well.
Yes my normal connections have been disconnected. And yet I have been pretty calm. Why?? I have a quiet time with the Lord in the morning. Do I miss a hug or being with friends…yes but with the good Lord by my side I am doing rather well. The masks do irritate me but it’a small thing in view of those suffering physically, financially and emotionally.
Thanks, Joan. Good to hear you are well and safe.
Thank you for this message Karen – you have given me peace today. I guess it is contagious!
I love hearing this, Carrie. You are very welcome.
Karen, this is so true and so glad you got to shine your God light for your Dentist!
Thanks, Heidi. What would we do without our God? I shudder to think, and am so grateful each day for God’s presence and guidance.
