  1. Karen, We are on the same page!! I too have just been finishing up my need to do list and it sure feels cool! This rainy weather has kept me indoors more than usual so I have made lists and checked them off! Last one just completed before I sat down to read your weekly with a nice cup of tea.
Enjoy your walks and play time with your great grandson. See you again soon my friend β€οΈπŸ™πŸ»β˜˜οΈπŸ™ƒπŸ‘β€οΈ

  2. Thanks, Kathleen. What fun to hear that we are both on the same page regarding our ‘stuff’ and getting it in order or out of our lives!

  3. I also have been getting β€œstuff” done: 2018 State and Federal tax returns, paying March bills, etc. The good news is that with the Holy Spirit to guide me, the tasks don’t seem so daunting. The important thing for me is to stay in step with the LORD and recognize He already knows the future so I need not be afraid of what’s ahead of me! Sending love and hugs across the miles. πŸ’•

    • Hi Glenda. I’m happy to see your post came through even though you got an error message. That seems to happen occasionally on other blogs too. I know you as someone who stays in step with the Spirit about every decision and I admire you for it. πŸ™‚

  4. Since I moved a few months ago it feels like I’ll NEVER get all the STUFF done. But I still take breaks every day to read, see friends, walk the dog, or do something else that’s fun.

  5. Great analogy, Karen. It’s so easy for me to get caught up in my “to dos” that I lose sight of the truly important. Thanks for the reminder.

  6. So true! We’re finding that putting on worship music first thing in the morning helps us focus in the right direction 😊

  7. I relate to your blog a lot! We had a sermon on Sunday on Philippians 4:4-7 where Paul sets out the conditions for the “Great Exchange”- our worries for God’s peace. In order to remain in God’s peace, we must be be praying and spending time with God. Sometimes (like lately) I’ve felt burned out (we moved and increased our child care of our granddaughter with autism and my father passed away in the fall) so I tend to float around some mornings without praying and then by 12 noon I’m anxious and it’s more difficult to have the strength for the tasks I still need to do. I must remind myself that God is the source of my strength and so without daily time with him I’m a couch potato physically and most importantly, mentally. Thanks again for your blog that always seems to speak to me. Blessings to you Karen

    • Thank you so much, Angela, for subscribing to my blog and for sharing what is going on with you. I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your father. It’s always difficult to lose a parent–at any age.

  8. Wow! When I saw the word “stuff” I almost laughed! I have been dealing with “stuff” ever since I moved to Orlando to live with Tanya and Fred and that has been seven years this month. Okay, it just HIT ME- I have always felt seven is my lucky number so do you think that could mean I will be ‘almost’ finished dealing with the stuff by the end of this month? year? I do take time to read my devotions and have a prayer time first thing after breakfast, then it is ‘check my email’ and by that time I think I need to get busy with more stuff but then it is lunch time? Oh, well, I think, it can wait another day. Thanks to God, my loving Father, He has nudged me this week and I have accomplished so many things I am elated. I just needed to ask God to help me get busy with the important task ahead. Not easy, but it can be done and oh what a relief it is! THANKS, for reminding me I am not alone with this problem-misery loves company and I have the BEST company in YOU ! Love, Margaret

    • Thanks for sharing your process, Margaret. It seems we all agree that leaning on God and taking things one at a time helps us get through out to-do list without stress.
